Orpund on the Nidau-Büren canal
Orpund lies east of Biel on the Nidau-Büren canal, which carries the Aare from Lake Biel towards Büren an der Aare. The canal was built as part of the Jura water correction and still shapes the landscape here: flat land, waterside paths, fields. Of the Seeland villages on this side of the city, Orpund is one of the closest to central Biel, about six kilometres from our salon.
Short trip, easy planning
By car you'll get from Orpund into central Biel in about a quarter of an hour, depending on traffic, and can park in a public car park. Without a car, take the bus to Biel station, then walk a few minutes to Zentralstrasse 22. In good weather, cycling works too, since the route is flat.
Because it's so close, an appointment slots in easily between other plans. We open at 8:30am on Saturdays and 9am on weekdays. On Thursdays and Fridays we stay open until 8pm, Monday to Wednesday until 7pm.

Which cut suits you
The men's haircut starts with a consultation: how does your hair grow, where are the crowns, how much time do you want to spend on it in the morning? Then the scissors and clippers get to work, from a classic side part to a skin fade. If you want to pull off the look at home too, book the GYAN Signature Cut. After the cut we style your hair and show you which product to use and how much. Add beard, wash and styling and you've got the GYAN Premium package.
You'll sit in a brown leather chair, with a red Persian carpet on the wall. Pay in cash, by card or with TWINT.
To help you plan: the GYAN Signature Cut takes about 25 minutes and costs CHF 45. The GYAN Premium package takes around 40 minutes and costs CHF 75, or CHF 70 as a walk-in. Zana and Hikmet both work in the salon, and for now you can book Zana online.
