Aegerten, Brügg and the bridge over the canal
Aegerten lies on the Nidau-Büren canal, across the water from Brügg, and borders Studen. The canal here carries the Aare after it leaves Lake Biel. Cross the bridge and you're in Brügg within minutes, and from there the edge of Biel isn't far. Paths run along the canal that work well on foot or by bike, so the first part of the trip into town can be a pleasant one even before you reach a station or a main road.
Via Brügg into Biel
It's about six kilometres to GYAN at Zentralstrasse 22. Without a car, walk or cycle over the canal bridge to Brügg station and take the train to Biel station. From there it's just a few minutes' walk to the salon. By car you drive via Brügg into central Biel, where there's public parking; allow about a quarter of an hour. By bike, simply follow the canal towards town.
Getting the look right at home
A cut almost always looks good in the salon. The real question is how it looks the next morning in front of your own mirror in Aegerten. That's what the GYAN Signature Cut is for: after the haircut we style your hair and show you which product suits it, how much to use and which moves get you the look on your own. It takes about 25 minutes.
Prefer to keep things simple? If you already know exactly what you want, the men's haircut does the job: consultation, scissors and clippers, clean outlines, in about 20 minutes. And if you want hair and beard done in one visit with a wash and styling on top, there's the GYAN Premium package, about 40 minutes.
Book ahead or just drop in
Since the trip via Brügg takes a little longer than from inside the city, it's worth booking online. Confirmation comes instantly, so you can plan your train around it and know exactly when you need to leave Aegerten. If you're flexible, just drop in during opening hours, walk-ins are welcome. Monday to Wednesday we're open 9am to 7pm, Thursday and Friday until 8pm, and Saturday from 8:30am to 6pm. Sundays we're closed.
Inside you'll find brown leather chairs and a red Persian carpet on the wall. Pay in cash, by card or with TWINT. For the neighbours across the canal, there's our page for Brügg.
